New singles from Muse

Muse's first new material since Black Holes and Revelations in 2008 has finally hit the net with two very different singles for us to nibble on while we wait for the August 16th release of The Resistance. The new album has a supercharged message that's relevant to the war times we may have forgotten we live in.

"United States of Eurasia" rocks eerily close to fellow Brit rockers Queen, but are we surprised? Is that a far leap for them? They share that pitchy guitar riff signature, and stadium quality we all love. Maybe it's the modern girl in me, but I prefer Matthew Bellamy's angsty whine over Queen's throaty Mercury.

Check out the new track "US of E: It has a damn the man- end the war- message without being a downer.

The second single "Uprising" runs on synth overdrive. I'm not not cool with that, the intro is just a bit much. (How very Muse of them, right?) It does sound more Muse-y though. (which I prefer)

BC Out!
