Oh Sweet God--30Seconds to Mars covers Gaga's Bad Romance

Sweet mother of God, 30Seconds to Mars covered Gaga's "Bad Romance", and all I can say when Jared sings "You and me could write a bad romance" in his gravely coo is Yes, yes please. Goal for the next 17 days is to cyber stalk Jared, Tomo & Shannon until this cover makes it onto the set list for The Fillmore in Detroit on April 17. No more words--just listen and be dazzled by the glory that is 30STM.

New TWI novel(la) from Stephenie Meyer will hit shelves June 5! "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner'

Holy, holy a new Twi novella by Stephenie Meyer will delve into the ravenous Newborn Army through Bree's (a newborn in Eclipse) story! (Out June 5) TW-eah!!! This is too funny because I created a band on Rockband named The Newborn Army--they're badass and all red-eyed!-- led by Victoria on vocals, Riley on guitar and Bree on Bass. LOL

I am super psyched to get some insight on how the Newborn Army operates--just in time for Eclipse. It will be nice to have that information before the epic battle on June 30.

Brace yourself, Twilight fans. A new book from Stephenie Meyer is on the horizon.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella will be released at 12:01 a.m. June 5.

The 192-page story, an offshoot of the third novel in Meyer's best-selling teen vampire Twilight saga, has a first printing of 1.5 million. It's the first new Twilight title since Breaking Dawn, Book 4, was published two years ago.

The new novella is told in the voice of the teenage Bree, a "newborn vampire" whom we meet on page 569 in Eclipse. Ten pages later, she's dead.

"I started writing this a long time ago," Meyer said in an exclusive interview with USA TODAY. "It was when I was editing Eclipse. It was more of just an exercise so I could be clear about what was going on in the story."

The Twilight novels are told from the perspective of Bella, who falls in love with the vampire Edward Cullen.

"There's only so much stuff you can tell when what Bella sees and hears is all you can tell," Meyer says.

Bree is part of an army of newborn vampires created by Cullen family nemesis Victoria. Thirsty for revenge after the Cullens kill her vampire lover James, Victoria's plan is to use her army to kill the Cullens and Bella.

"The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner is pretty much contained in the last week of the newborns' existence before the big fight (between the Cullens and the vampire army) in the meadow in Eclipse," Meyer says. "It's the last week before Bree dies."

In the novella, Meyer says, Bree has been a vampire for about three months. No other details are being released.

But some plot points from the novella have made their way into the Eclipse film, starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, which opens June 30. Meyer gave David Slade, the film's director, a draft to read during production. The character of Bree is played by Canadian actress Jodelle Ferland.

Fans have speculated that the next Twilight title would be Midnight Sun, the story of Twilight told in Edward Cullen's voice.

"I think they're all waiting for Midnight Sun," says Meyer, who put Sun on hold indefinitely in 2008 when a draft was posted on the Internet without her permission and went viral. "But I'm not writing about vampires right now."

If you look closely, it says something about 2 passes to Portland and a Bella bracelet. Again, why do I not have this?

Didn't Jasper graduate??? Flaw in 'New Moon'

So, call me on this if I'm being mental, but didn't Jasper graduate last year (movie time, which would be sometime between Twilight & New Moon) with Rosalie (his Hale "twin") and Emmett? I was watching New Moon last night--cuz I can--and thought, "Wait a darn minute! Why is Jasper at Forks HS with Alice being all mind tricky on Bella? Isn't he the same "age" as Rosalie?"

(Evidence of the trickery: Alice & Jasper at FHS circa NM)

Sure enough, I consulted the book, and he is suppose to be at Dartmouth with Emmett & Rose.

Me thinks Melissa Rosenberg was trying to slip one past us TW-erds, and it worked until now. We must be so dazzled up on sparkles that we are missing obvious plot flaws in the movies.

So, do you guys agree? Should Jasper be at school in NM, and if so, what's the sitch? Are we to assume he failed or just that his "age" has been fudged for the convenience of the screenplay?

Can't wait to hear your thoughts cuz I am blown away by this revelation!

Midnite New Moonpalooza at Borders

First off, thank you Borders employees for making all us (admittedly crazy) Twihards feel normal even when some of us reenacted scenes from scenes from New Moon with little to no regard for stultification. (See pictures below. They only half exemplify the hilarity.) I made a ton of new friends--Let me see if I can remember this: Danielle, Stephanie and...Veronica? J/k Claire--courtesy of my TW-abulous Team Edward/Team Jacob TWI-session Blog bookmarks, (Click here for full size.) and got fun TW-izes like an Edward pen and key chains.

The previously mentioned double sided bookmark. The Swiss in me just couldn't choose TE or TJ. (Please credit TW-session Blog if you use bookmark. The print size is 1.75"x6".)

Emily 2 made fangs & wore them. I
had to get a picture! I sure hope fans of my first novel are this amazingly dedicated.

Jacob fights Paul reenactment by some very enthusiastic TWI-Moms.

Bella running to save Edward reenactment by Emily 1.

Evidently Bella drowned spread eagle? Our "Edward" refused to lie head to toe for the scene.

Well, that was my midnight New Moonpalooza experience. How was yours? If there's any of you Ann Arbor Twihards that I met at Borders reading, please comment. I love hearing from you guys! Especially if either of the two Emilys or Team Corner are reading. You girls are TW-abulous! OK, off to watch NM for the 3rd time cuz I can.

New Moon Saturday treats= Taylor's grape catching skills, NM outakes & 'Eclipse' preview

In honor of New Moon Saturday, here's the exclusive Eclipse preview from the Walmart DVD. Check out the infamous grape throwing into Taylor's mouth between takes (as exemplified on the short lived Tonight Show w/Conan O'Brien. Yet another reason Conan deserved to keep that gig. Click here for a rare rehearsal clip!) and Emmett all battle-fied. Then, of course, there's the gloriousness that is seeing the entire Cullen family together. It makes me want to watch "The Vote" scene--oh wait, I can. 'Cause I own New Moon now!!!

HAPPY NEW MOON SATURDAY!

Guess this settles the who would really win in a Edward vs. Jacob fight. We still love ya ,Rob.

I know I already posted this one, but Rob saying mosquito is worth the re-post.

Uber creepy dream sequence that I was so mad didn't make it into the final cut when I saw the pics in the NM Illustrated Companion , but now see why...weird.

Twiligh Graphic Novel Peek

OK, maybe I'm a moron, but I didn't realize the Twilight graphic novel Volume One meant half of the first book. The thing ends with the first kiss in the meadow! That was balls to discover, and I'm not exactly sold on how Edward is drawn--although the leaning against the wall when he meets Bella after gym class was dead on. (Que swoony sigh.) It did have some giddy smile/giggle moments (people at Borders officially think I'm TW-uts) though. For instance, family shots of the Cullens are dead on-- Alice lounging at the lunch table and Rosalie's "statuesque" bod AND the real shiny silver Volvo s60R!

How much of a TW-ork am I that that made me clap and giggle when I saw it (and that I use the word TW-ork)? LOL Here's glimpse of Bella & Edward all graphic style courtesy of on tet_d Twifans.

So, what do you think? Are you buying the GN version of TWI?

Funniest Hour of TV EVER: Michael Sheen on Craig Ferguson

This is just a tiny portion of the masterpiece that was Michael Sheen on Craig Ferguson last night. First off, I know my love for Brits makes me bias, but I haven't laughed this hard while watching TV since Michael Scott hit Meridith with his Seabring on The Office --and this one last an hour! These two clearly have been blokes for a while. No one whips up a wit fest like this on the fly. Get ready to "Liz" (See 30 Rock reference- combination of laughing & wizzing) your way through this one!

Part 1 - "Jesus Christ is alive and well and living in Oklahoma?"

Part 2 - "Come here, Watson! I want you!"

Sadly I couldn't find the end where Michael sticks around to talk "socklevage" (the line a sock leaves on your ankle. There's a general consensus that it's sexy?) with Amy Ryan . After this rip roarin' hoot 'n nanny hour of television, I am convinced the insane-o Aro portrayal in New Moon (1 more day till DVD!!! Sorry, I had to.) is not an act--Michael Sheen is round the bend in all the best ways!

Hoppin' mad review of 'Remember Me' reviews

Before I start my rant--and trust me, this will be a rant of epic proportions--I have to warn of spoilage. If you haven’t seen Remember Me yet, first, go see it now! then read on. Now that that’s out of the way, her goes it.

I am hopping made at the reviews I’ve read for Rob Pattinson’s & Emilie DeRavin’s movie Remember Me! For me, the story evoked a sense of internal evolution within not just the main characters, but several supporting roles as well. This is due in part to first time screenwriter Will Fetters subtle script.
Fetters developed not one but several satisfying archs in Tyler (Rob Pattinson), Ally (Emilie DeRavin), Caitlin (Ruby Jerins) and Neil Craig (Chris Cooper). The characters were likable even when they were self-destructing. The interdependency between them showed a real-to-life portrayal of what loss can do to a family, positively and negatively, and how explosive those dependencies can be. That’s right, subtle can be explosive Hollywood. That which is withheld is always more poignant than that which is offered--or blown up in our movie going faces in most cases.

Beyond all the storyline and character development defense (Warning: Here’s the RM spoilage.), reviewers seem to be checking their empathy at the ticket counter on this one, which, as previously mentioned, makes me one hopping mad--and offended--Beth.

In most cases, I would be the first to preach setting aside one’s emotions to produce a nonbiased opinion, but this is film. We are supposed to be emotionally moved. That’s what makes for a great story! If you’re not crying, laughing or lost in thought at the end (I was all 3 after RM) than the story fell short. I can’t remember the last time my heart fell so hard while watching a movie when the infamous date appeared and we all just knew; exemplified by a collective sigh in the audience. Despite what I’ve read (website I won‘t even bother crediting because of the level of despicability in its review), I don’t see the ending as a “last ditch effort to evoke emotion”
at all. Remember Me stands as a poignant example of what 9-11 really was: Not a terrorist attack on freedom or western culture of even the Bush administration; it was a deplorable attack on the human race as a whole that took over 2,000 average people‘s lives from them, mid-journey.

What stayed with me long after I left the theater was how much more viscous the event now seemed because I realized that all 2,000+ people at the World Trade Center that day in 2001 were all writing their stories--whether they were on the tenth chapter or the epilogue, it was theirs to finish. Some, like (the character) Tyler, were on the verge of finally getting it right, and it was taken from them and everyone they loved that were making it right.

To ignore the very personal connection every American has to 9-11 while reviewing this film is to read it out of context. The disaster, I think, is not even the catalyst for the viewers tear ridden reaction to the ending--any number of ordinary vehicles could've been utilized--but it is what gives the message weight beyond an “engorged romantic tragedy,”

Entertainment Weekly! There was a time I used to jocularly refer to EW as “The Bible.” Well, today I commit heresy.

I never thought of myself as having a strong connection to 9-11, but that’s only because I knew no one who was directly affected by it. Will Fetters introduced me to people I felt I knew and wished well for all their faults and pasts. He gave me that personal connection and produced a very genuine sense of loss in me as a moviegoer. I have to wonder if all the bad reviews don’t have something to do with reviewers' inability to separate Rob from Edward. I’m the first to proclaim my Team Edward status, but have the sense in me to remove that label when he’s sporting blue eyes and not gold. Me thinks some TW-aters need to check their preconceived notions at the door.
