Vampires, what vampires? Zombies are the new hot undead thing. First Jane Austen, now the movies. Zombieland has a promising cast (Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin)- hope the movie proves the same.

So, Whitney Houston turned down a 2 ep role in Glee (the uber hyped TV series)... What the what?! Is she seriously getting better offers or are we all just that lucky?Meaning I'm positive she made a mistake passing for HER, but for US I'm sure we're better off.

She'd have been likely to scream "Kiss me ass!" or stumble around in one shoe (sorry to drudge up long surpressed memories of her and Bobby Brown's trainwreck of a reality show) in the middle of a scene and doom the cast to crack pipes and wasted talent. (seriously it's a shame- that woman can sing)

I don't know about you but this show might actually make it in the faux reality saturated TV line up- don't jinx it!!

The Hills: Revolving door

Evidently Audrina Patridge is the latest (ahem) actor profiting from the revolving door that is The Hills... Um do we not remember Whitney's The City debacle??

Although Audrina is significantly hotter than anyone else on The Hills I question whether or not she'll be able to stew up enuf MTV style drama with her Justin Bobby antics. And since Audrina didn't attend Laguna Beach HS (I don't think) none of those shmohawks will be around to stir up trouble...probably.

The producers- actors- writers (okay, no matter where I go with this I'm voiding the "reality" label of the show) will have their hands full w/this one. I know Chubbs will watch just to see her in the inevitable bikini or two per season. Guess there's hope for the show afterall.

Personally, I love Tay (yes, we're on nickname basis- he calls me B) and I'm not ashamed to admit he's 10 yrs younger than me...wait am I?

He's just so cute and protective in a sweetly naive kinda way. At least I understand the draw he has (his beefy bod). I'm still at a loss as to why Rob Pattinson has me swaying...

Another ALICE I love

Tim Burton's 3-D (that's right my friends I said 3-D) version of Alice in Wonderland, due out in spring 2010, will have viewers stumbling out of theaters all bad trip style fo sho.

I was physically incapable of not sharing Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter get up. He looks INSANE! Look at those eyes- scarier than any Cullen, nomad or Volturri I've ever seen...we'll see if that holds true in November (New Moon opens 11-21-09) though ;)

I love the Burton/Depp/Bonham Carter (below as the Red Queen) crack team. Can't wait for another whimsically dark adventure...did I mention this one's 3D?!!!?

Why always hatin' on Megan Fox??

Megan Fox is now being acussed of "snubbing a fan" in London. The now infamous photo of a wistful boy offering a lone white rose to Fox is causing a ridiculous amount of ruckus online.

Once again I am reminded of how skeezy these paps are creating false personas for the Hollywood elite (in Megan Fox's case this false "bitchy" persona is generated by the jealous haters fo sho). I don't even want to think about the exorbinant amount of cash someone received for this misunderstanding caught on film.

Lovely Bones hits the big screen

One of my favorite books, Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, is making its way to theaters via Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson this winter.

Although I look forward to seeing Susie Salmon and her family- played by Saoirse Ronan (Atonement), Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon & Mark Walkberg to name a few- act out the tale that is devastatingly beautiful in it's twisted optimism I'm bummed my Oscar dream of Best Adapted Screenplay is now blown to the wind (thanks a bunch Jackson! Damn u and your hobits).

Intoxicated w/nourishment

Just chugged a protein shake thing (cuz I'm trying to gain back muscle/weight- I know hate me if you like- plus it tasted like soy Easter bunny and I didn't want to taste it any longer than I had to) and now I feel light headed and a bit...dizzy behind the eyes...are there drugs in this stuff or am I just way too used to being malnurished?

Worst job EVER

So, as much as I love seeing my fav stars do human things like walk to their cars and shop w/friends (it's like chimps in pants- am I right?) I draw the line at pumping gas and buying smokes. No one needs to see that and it's WEIRD, stalkery and WEIRD.

And the comments these paps yell- I can't take it. "Hey Kristen, I like your new haircut." "Hi Dakota, how have you been?" (they always say the name like they're friends or something) What the what?!- THEY DON'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU. This has to be the worst job ever. No one likes them and more importantly all the important/famous people hate them. It's a train wreck on all accounts. I would rather bus tables at Big Boy than do this- no joke.

Ending worth seeing the movie?

I admit I was intrigued when I first heard about The Hangover especially since it stars one Ed Helms aka The Offices' Andy Bernard- AOH! But all the buzz about the post credits ending just may get me to the theater for this one.

Bruno proves too racey for the kiddies

EDIT: Looks like Bruno will hit theaters with a solid R rating- prepare for the homo-humorous antics to assault unsensored.

Accordingto EW via The Wrap Sacha Baron Cohen's new movie Bruno may hit theaters in July with a NC-17 rating. Once again our favorite Brit shock comic will keep us questioning whether we should be laughing or leaving the theater with gratuitous "graphic sexual content".

My life on the D-list

So, I had to ride my bike to the store today...don't ask. It all sounds fun and games on a breezy 68 degree day but it quickly manifested in the most D-list moment of EVER.

Beside my sweaty pits stinkin' up a perfectly clean shirt it was all good until- brace yourself- I had to (gulp) ride over the I-94 overpass!!!! Not a good idea sur le velo! And there were hills- I don't want to talk about it.

So, I finally get there and realize CRAP I have to ride back. Needless to say it was unpleasant and utterly D-list- I mean you'd never see Hilary Swank pedaling to the store via highway overpasses. So lame... :/ Ugh, just had to vent :P

MI:2- A forgotten gem

Just caught Mission Impossible 2 on Showtime. Can I say I forgot how beautifully testosterone driven this flix was. The end sequence is magnificent- quite possibly the best money shot in the biz occurs when Ethan Hunt saunters through a blazing doorway- the flames reflecting in the luscious Dougray Scott's irises- as a dove flys through...chills

And lest we forget the fanciful "dance off" via Ninja bikes. I don't care what anyone says, Tom Cruise is bad ass when he wants to be.

Ok, don't get me wrong I'm a serious Kristen Stewart fan- I saw Adventureland just cuz she was in it (it paid off- awesome movie!) but I am so not into this whole knotted t-shirt thing she's rockin'. I rolled that way back in '95...I'm pretty sure I wasn't cool then so why is it ok now? Just sayin'...

Pushing Daisies laid to rest

Does anyone else think the cancellation of Pushing Daisies is criminal??? Especially while garbage like I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here still airs. Seriously, did we need to see more Speidi?! (Did I mention I despise reality TV?)

Thankfully Glee will get a fighting chance this fall. Until then I’ll be weeping for the wilted Daisies (que weepy sobs). Now we’ll never get to see the Ned & Chuck pivital Saran wrap sex scene we’ve all been hoping for.

Lost is sooo played

Okay, I must preface this post by saying I am a former Lost-er. Watching the Jack/Kate/Sawyer triangle develop used to be my fav TV-related activity...BUT

As a member of the self-created Lost Anonymous Group or LAG for those of us who just couldn’t make it through the plot U-turns. Come on guys…time travel? I must say I find myself going through Sawyer withdrawl.

This prompted a visit to ABC’s website where I stumbled upon “LOST Untangled”, a video rundown of the show. Seriously…? This is exactly why I quit watching. I mean do we honestly need a show in our lives that forces us to undergo online tutorials? This girl thinks not.

I’d rather spend my time ogling shirtless Josh Holloway pics. Speaking of which there’s a serious lack of them on ABCs site- Google it and enjoy! (Why is he always wet and/or sweaty/dirty…wait do I care?!)

Summer Rental Season

Screw the economy- it's time to renew your Netflix subscription and catch up on your "Must Rent List" (don't lie you have one).

One of my picks (if I didn’t already own it) is Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Michael Cera can do no wrong in my book and Kat Dennings is fabulous as the “goodie bag” at Nick’s “pity party” over his vixen-esque ex Tris.

One I’m itching for is Adventureland. Just before school starts back up (que tearful children) we’ll get to relive the 80’s in all their misled glory on August 25th. This is one of my favorite movies of the year, so far. Go rent it!

I can’t get enough of Kristen Stewart and her adorable nervous ticks (hands through the hair, poignant blinks, humorless coughed laughs). Plus, Jesse Eisenberg shows us just how much of a sweetie pie he is if we didn’t already know from The Squid & the Whale (another great rental). There’s just something about these “Indie” wandering youth flix that I’m drawn to. Could it be the striking relevance to my own life…?
