Thanks to Lisa McMann’s Facebook post , I have a new favorite blog hot spot to spend countless hours that I should be doing tons of way less fun things during. YA Tribe is a Mecca for YA readers, authors and aspiring authors to share all things, well, YA. Come join us in the delicious procrastination.
Eclipse press craziness has begun! (30 days to go!!!) Here's a peek at Kristen & Taylor in Australia. Click here for a TW-ilarious audio interview from NovaFM too. "I'm into him being into meat patties." Best quote ever, Kristen!
Click here for tons more interviews at Twifans.com.
So, Edward Cullen only gains #53, BUT Buffy is #3(!) and Cher (from Clueless) is a solid #34. Guess there's still hope for Entertainment Weekly and their silly little lists even if Homer Simpson is #1.
Tom Cruise's most infamous role (from Tropic Thunder) is reprised in this MTV Movie Award promo with Robert Pattinson. They saw dirty, I say delicious! Watch, now Rob will wear a tux or something just to counter act all this. Oh Rob...
Once again, a TWI soundtrack shuts up TW-aters! (Nah-nah-na-nah-nah) This time with the Eclipse indie lineup. Feel free to forward the Entertainment Weekly review (below) to any leech loathers you know.
At this point, even the most entrenched haters of Twilight's vampire-sparkle voodoo concede the soundtracks' indie-rock bona fides — though they might wish the music came shrouded in a plain brown wrapper.
Like last October's New Moon collection, Eclipse operates as a sort of alt-party primer: original songs from the genre's current varsity squad, with a smattering of JV newbies. Pomp-rockers Muse, practically the movies' musical mascots by now, provide the requisite dose of Queen-meets-Rush grandiosity on ''Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever),'' while Jack White side project the Dead Weather revel in swampy blooze-ooze on ''Rolling in on a Burning Tire.'' Vampire Weekend, stripped of their habitual Afro-pop swaddling, work the harpsichord-tinged twee of ''Jonathan Low'' into a pleasingly woolly tangle, though Australian chanteuse Sia's ''My Love'' does more with much less — her fragile ballad is so ethereal and otherworldly, it should be sung in Elvish. U.K. indie-pop outfit Fanfarlo's rickety ''Atlas'' sounds like Talking Heads on a dirt-road detour; Beck and British songstress Bat for Lashes trade haunting echo-chamber vocals on the percussion-heavy duet ''Let's Get Lost''; and on the heady ''Heavy in Your Arms,'' Florence + the Machine make like Siouxsie Sioux leading a tribal marching band into battle. L.A. unknowns Eastern Conference Champions co-opt Radiohead's dense existential dread, Band of Horses conjure up another beardy folk ramble, and this summer's palest citizens get a pretty solid ready-made mixtape. B+
Here's yet another new Eclipse TV spot. No complaints from this TW-irl! "It's starting." Ooo, I get chills ever time I see the Cullens lined up for battle. 35 days!!!
So these tweets from David Slade confirm that the final cut of Eclipse is 100% done. TW-eah!
Now making the prints for your cinemas. We are officially one step away from the screen. In celebration here is a pick taken of Ashley in pre production. http://twitpic.com/1qp5o13:13 PM May 24th via Twitpic

Keeping in tradition, "Bedcob" (aka Bella, Edward & Jacob--or if you're living in reality, Kristen, Rob & Taylor) will be presenting a NEW Eclipse clip at the MTV Movie Awards on June 6th! Make sure you tune in to the pre-show because pack leader Chaske Spencer (aka Sam Uley) will be a guest correspondent on the red carpet. Let's hope he fares better than Ashley Greene did last year... I love you girl, but they gave you nothing to work with.
'Eclipse' Stars To Present Exclusive Clip At 2010 MTV Movie Awards
Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will present the clip live on June 6.
By Eric Ditzian
You didn't think we were going to have a vampire-less 2010 MTV Movie Awards, did you? That there'd be no werewolf sniffing out the Golden Popcorn? No beautiful high school girl from Forks, Washington, smiling shyly at the crowd?
Like we'd do that to you! "Twilight"-verse, prepare, because Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be appearing live and in-house at the Movie Awards on Sunday, June 6, to introduce an exclusive clip from "Eclipse."
Just let that soak in for a minute, OK? Because there's more. "Twilight" franchise co-star Chaske Spencer (Sam Uley) will be MTV International's official red-carpet correspondent, reporting live from the scene outside the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, where some of Hollywood's biggest names will be stopping by to chat.
This marks the third year in a row that the Movie Awards are bringing you fresh "Twilight" footage. In 2008, the MTV News preshow brought you the first sneak peek at a scene from the original vampire flick. The next year, we premiered an exclusive expanded trailer for "New Moon." And come June 6, Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner will be bringing you a never-before-seen clip from "Eclipse," which hits theaters on June 30.
It'll be a big evening for the "Twilight" kids. "New Moon" is up for five nominations: Best Movie, Best Female Performance (Stewart), Best Male Performance (Pattinson and Lautner), Best Kiss (Stewart and Pattinson) and Global Superstar (Stewart, Pattinson and Lautner). Fan voting in all of these categories is now under way at MovieAwards.MTV.com and will stay open through Saturday, June 5. But voting for Best Movie will stay open throughout the awards show itself, which means you'll have a chance to affect the night's biggest prize until the very last minute.
The video for Muse's "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)", the first single off the Eclipse soundtrack, debuted on MTV.com today and it's as epic as the song's stadium riffs!!! This video is so chocked full of Eclipse clip candy that I can barely get through this post without watching it again--oh, wait, I just did! I about bounced out of my chair when I saw the Cullens lined up en masse and ready for battle. Only 43 days!!!!
I am off work today so I had the joy of watching Rob on Ellen today live-ish.Typical Rob has no idea what day it is and claims to have zero cognitive activity in his trademark self-deprecating style, but we get the dish on his new haircut. It's for a new movie called Water for Elephants with Reese Witherspoon about a veterinary student (Rob) who joins a 1930's circus as their vet.
In case you missed the edit to my original post "Nikki Reed on ‘Ellen’ ", here is the new higher quality and extended clip of Rosalie telling Bella she's "making the wrong choice."
EDIT: New higher quality & extended clip of Rosalie's scene. Thanks for the vid Chrisis. Nikki Reed was on Ellen today for her b-day. The best part was that we got to see a Rosalie "you're making the wrong choice" clip from Eclipse!
There's a new Eclipse TV spot out on the airwaves. Sorry the vid is so janky, but I couldn't not post it! And I included some wicked stills of roastin' newborns, Bella's infamous blue jacket's reappearance and a fiercely vengeful Victoria to sweeten the deal.
The first single off the Eclipse soundtrack was released today and it's joyously ever so very Edward & Bella. It's sweeping piano makes me think of 1900's Edward courting his soul mate, and the lyrics are thoughtfully relevant to Eclipse's plot. Enjoy Museies!
PS The Eclipse soundtrack official website has artist blogs and videos that are definitely worth checking out. Click here to visit the official site.
Muse- "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)"
The video with integrated Eclipse clips will be debuted on MTV & VH1 on May 20th at 8pm.
This is so infinitely cool, and why we love Stephenie Meyer so much--she gets us! I've always hated when she did talk shows because it was all you had a dream and now you're a mega star. How do you balance life? Will you ever write about vampires again? blah, blah, blah. Now we can get down to the juicy stuff like feathers and imprinting!
I really wish I worked for one of the winning sites! Congrats Twifans! Message from StephenieMeyer.com :

Hey guys, I want to do something different with publicity for this movie release. For Twilight, I did the normal press junket, for New Moon I got to go on Oprah. Both of these were fun, exciting experiences. However, they both had the same drawback—the interviews were designed for a very broad audience, and because of that, most of the questions were about things you guys have known the answers to for years. I feel like all of the basic questions have been answered, and for Eclipse I want to focus on the more specific questions of the readers. To accomplish that, I'm hosting my own mini-junket with a few fansites. It will be held on Friday, June 18th, the week before the L.A. premiere.
Unfortunately, I can't talk to every single site, and I want to keep this as low key and enjoyable as possible. So I put all the U.S. fansites in a hat (for logistical reasons, we had to keep this in the country) and drew out four names.
Each of these sites is invited to send two members of their staff (or one member and a guest) to our fan-centric mini-junket. You will be contacted shortly by my assistant, who will give you all the specific information. In the event that any of the sites is unable to send representatives, I've already drawn four back up sites, which I will post if it becomes necessary.
I'll answer all of your questions (and your readers questions, if you want to poll them) about the Eclipse Movie, and the Bree story, as well, which will have been out for a few weeks by then. We'll have lunch, hang out, and hopefully have a fantastic time. I hope you all can make it! -Steph
Eclipse merch now available at Hot Topic & Nordstrom’s and the theme is lots of crests, swirls and pack tats and red, red, red. This is a highly newborn influenced line. BUT Team Switzerland finally gets a shout out. (Thank you Hot Topic!)
Personally, I'll be branding myself a Newborn via Nordstrom's gray tee so no matter how cranky I get it's justified.
Nordstrom's is also offering an advanced screening of Eclipse with a $50.00 purchase. Holy wow, right?! You receive one ticket to the June 29 screening by taking your receipt to the customer service counter at your local Nordstrom's. Times will vary by location. Offer only valid while supplies last. See store for details--blah, blah.
Added bonus, Nordstrom's is having a style contest in which the winner gets tickets to the June 24 Hollywood premiere of Eclipse! Click for official Rules.
Nordstrom's goodies:
Hot Topic Goodies (Team Switzerland crest (about damn time!) and Bella's engagement ring!!!):
These clips were totally worth listening to Oprah mispronounce Eclipse (E-clipse) and phenomenon (Fe-nomenin) for an hour. Enjoy our charmingly over protective, jealous Edward and Jacob's usual shirtless self!
In honor of TW-Oprah day AND Rob's 24th birthday, we have a spanking new clip from Eclipse. This is why I love Jane; her deliciously evil little quips. I'll be adding "Decisions, decisions..." to my repertoire.
PS If you missed Oprah today, (what is wrong with you?!) there were some intense jealous Edward scenes revealed and a "doesn't he have a shirt" thrown to Jacob. To answer your question Edward, yes, Jacob has a shirt but he knows better than to cover up all that Quileute magnificence. Oh, and feel free to join him!
EDIT: Two more bonus tracks are listed below in red. So, make sure when you purchase the CD you get the "special edition."
Thanks to our good friends at Myspace, we have the official list of all the artists (and songs) that will be featured on the Eclipse soundtrack. Not that they made it easy on us at all though. They dragged out the announcement for 7 hours!, revealing one artist every half hour. Thanks for the info, but if I want torture I'll have a newborn bite me.
Original article:
And… everyone exhale.
Because after weeks of rampant speculation (both on and off this site) we can finally confirm who will be on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack. But this information will not be procured easily. No, instead for the next seven hours we will be revealing the soundtrack’s artists one at time, every half-an-hour on the hour.
Oh, and just because we want to drum up as much anticipation as possible we will not be rolling out the bands in order. Instead, the tracklist will gradually fill up as the day goes on.
Don't forget to DVR--I mean watch Oprah this Thursday (May 13) to see Rob, Kristen, Taylor & Dakota. It's the perfect way to celebrate Rob's 24th birthday. Unless, of course, you have access to stalking him, in which case that would be tops.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic portrays New Moon promo poster. My two (OK three if you count Vampire Diaries which I totally do) vampire worlds collide! Head spinning. Spike as Jacob, Angel as Edward--wait am I supposed to choose between Edward and Angel because I won't do it! I won't I tell you!
The first official Eclipse soundtrack news is out via StephenieMeyer.com and is Muse-y!
Posted: May 6, 2010
The first single on "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" has just been confirmed and I get to bring you the exclusive details. Stephenie's very favorite band, Muse, has contributed a song called "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)" and it's the first single from the project. It will be out on May 17th. I haven't heard it yet, but I am very excited. The official soundtrack will also be available on June 8th. You can pre-order the Eclipse soundtrack here.
I know I already posted about the astonishing news that Oprah treated some lucky twi-hards to a screening of a rough cut of Eclipse yesterday, but it was a bewildered rambling at best. Here's a more coherent rundown from MTV.com.Plus I just really wanted to post this new screencap of the Cullen boys. Yum!
In the midst of the confusion yesterday where we tried to figure out what exactly was going on with the "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" world premiere, some very, very, very lucky "Oprah" guests we invited quietly to a little premiere of their own. Oprah taped her "Eclipse" show — set to air next May 13 — today, and to prepare her guests to ask topical questions to Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning, she showed them an early cut of "Eclipse."
Yes, you read that right. Some "Twilight" fans have already seen "Eclipse," and they probably aren't you. But Twi-hards aren't the greedy type, and quickly took to Twitter to share their wealth of information with the world — one, in fact, exclaimed: "OH MY GOD!!!! Eclipse was absolutely AMAZING. Better then both New Moon & Twilight! Holyy crappp =O." In between the "OME!!"s and drooling, we were able to pick out some pretty interesting information that of course we are going to share with you.
There had been some concern after the final "Eclipse" trailer premiered that this third installment in the "Twilight Saga" would sacrifice the love story for the action (apparently everyone forgot the first trailer, which showed us otherwise). The unanimous response was that the love story is definitely still there, and it is very hot and heavy. This means, yes, the leg hitch, the tent scene and Bella and Jacob's kiss all make the final cut, and, as one Twitter user claimed, were enough to "get her turned on." And yes, the scene where Bella punches Jacob is also included, though we never doubted that it wouldn't be in the film.
But that doesn't mean that the action wasn't great either. This was an early cut of the film so some of the animation was still a bit off, but everyone seemed to think that it was the best action of the series. The fact Jasper was featured quickly but clearly in the second trailer's fight scene tipped us off to the fact that he and Alice were going to be pretty prominent in the action sequences, but apparently they get a lot more face time throughout the entire film, and actually get a chance to really interact with each other. Unfortunately, Jackson Rathbone's wig is supposed to be pretty bad, but Kristen's is better since the first trailer.
Which brings us to some other exciting news: everyone loved Jasper and Rosalie's flashbacks. We already knew that Jasper would be seen horse back in Civil War regalia, but apparently this was news to other people. As far as Rosalie's flashback goes, we read that her entire conversation with Bella lasts about five minutes, but the actual flashback is only about two minutes. This is kind of a let-down, but if a picture is worth a thousand words we're guessing David Slade was able to do a lot with those two minutes.
It's been a bit of a trend that fans keep labeling the newest director in each "Twilight" film as being better than all the previous ones (sorry, Catherine Hardwicke). Unsurprisingly, there were many claims that David Slade did a great job with "Eclipse" and that he's the best director yet, which is exactly what Chris Weitz predicted "New Moon." This also is allegedly the funniest of all the "Twilight" films so far, so if David can top "Face Punch," we're going to be really impressed.
Hey Tw-eeps! New TW-arbie dolls are out. This time we get to add Victoria & Alice to our collection. (And, no, I have no problem as a twenty-eight yr. old buying a Barbie for the sake of just being a girl!) They both look wicked fabulous, but let's get real, it's about damn time Alice got her own Barbie--girl IS Barbie. On that note, where the hell is Rosalie?!? Murdering Ken for dumping her for Skipper? Rosalie was a sparkly marble glamazon way before Barbie even knew what dream house meant.
The official release date for Breaking Dawn announced was announced today via Twilight's official twitter! We're back to the November 20ish date. Perfect for Forks-y weather. Still no word on whether it'll be 1 or 2 movies.
Save the date! THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN will be released in theaters on 11/18/2011!
I lazily checked Twitter before heading to bed tonight, and what do I see but a storm of ravenous TWI Tweeters claiming to have seen Eclipse!
@twilighterzTo clear things up: Fans have revealed that they saw a ROUGH screening of Eclipse thanks to Oprah. Definitely not a finished version! :)2 minutes ago
RT @vivian_ortiz Eclipse was amazing!! Can't wait to see the final version!! Best movie yet :D6 minutes ago
RT @TrendingJB Just saw Eclipse!! Almost didn't get in and I was about to cry. But then Julie saved us. AMAZING movie. That's ALL I'm saying4 minutes ago
It seems Oprah really is God Her self because the fans that were luck enough to score tickets to the Twilight episode airing May 13 got an advanced screening of a rough cut of Eclipse!!! Hail to the powers that are Oprah. I still won't watch your show (unless someone I absolutely can't live without is on i.e. Rob, Kristen &Taylor), but you have won this round Harpo. Touche.
So, when this "rough cut" inevitably hits the internet, will you guys watch or wait to see the final product June 30? I'd like to think I have the will power to save myself for opening night, but I totally caved and watched the breakup scene from New Moon when it was leaked and cried and loved it.
Do you guys think you can stay strong and wait to watch?
