So which is your fav??? Mine's 'Friends' by Band of Skulls...so far. I may develope a new fav in the days to follow. That happens a lot to me. Although I do love 'White Demon Love Song' by The Killers and of course 'Satelight Heart' by Anya Marina and 'Possibility' by Lykke Li (My love for all things Swedish seeping in)- okay! Stopping! Why do I bother trying to pick??? This is sooo Sophie's Choice.

Preview the New Moon soundtrack- Out Oct. 20!

Still riding my New Moon Illustrated Companion buzz (finally got it in my mits today!) I stumbled upon this sparkly fix to hold us over until Oct. 20th. Some lovely TWI-hard collected the OST sound previews off Amazon.com and shared the love as we TWI-hards tend to do. (We're such a giving community.)

I apologize for both my ridiculous opening to this post (still floaty head syndrome, having difficulty typing) and my previous rantastic post. Little Perturbed

Little perturbed tonight because

a) 30Seconds to Mars released the first single from their much anticipated new album 'This is War' and I received no Echelon transmission to alert me. Come on Jared, you email when you snap a pic of The Hive graffiti and no heads up for Kings & Queens??? You're better than that. (I know you are!) Shake your tail when you walk.

And b)the New Moon Illustrated Companion was nowhere to be found at Borders today! Am I having a mental vaca here or did it really come out today and my location didn't have so much as an empty end cap for me to frown at? Is it really sold out?! and if so, where did all the glossy photo-licious pages live before they got taken home by giddy TWI-hards??? I am thoroughly confused here. Why can I buy it online and not in-store?

Why am I so out of the loop tonight?!?!?! Grr.

NEWAYZ! For your listening pleasure, here's Kings & Queens which, I have to say, is a bit floaty for an album that follows a temper torn lawsuit aptly named 'This is War.' Don't get me wrong! I love it and worship how Jared's lovely rasp hums along the chorus- just saying, bit lacking in the emo angst department that the title foreshadows. It almost makes me worry the band will be de-eyelinering for this tour. (Gasp! Never Jared, Shanimal and Tomo- keep that dream alive for me.)

I feel like I've ranted a bit here, but let's face it, being out of the loop on my two fav things (TWI & 30STM)- BOTHERED! (Breathe, mantra, Jared, Edward, Isle Esme...) Okay, I'm back. Shiny smile and all. So what'd you think of the song? Are you into the non-screamy 30STM? I kinda am. It makes it a hell of a lot easier to sing along to on Rockband. hehe

Finally! Video for 'Meet Me on the Equinox' debuts on MTV tonight!

What?! MTV is actually playing a video??? That's right, I'm skating on Hell as I type. MTV will be debuting the video for the first New Moon OST single 'Meet Me on the Equinox' by DCFC tonight at 8pm. If you miss it, it will re-air on MTV Hits at 9pm.

DVR is set!!! I hope they do some making of stuff. Can't wait!!! Do you guys think it will out rock 'Decode'? I am skeptical (maybe cuz I'm Paramore obessed) but still excited. As always, I'll post the vid after I'm done rewinding/rewatching tonight. 43 days!!!

Fresh footage of New Moon during Scream Awards!!!

More New Moon footage revealed at Scream Awards

For the third time this year, the cast of the upcoming New Moon will be presenting never-before-seen footage of the film at the Scream Awards, to be held on Saturday, October 17 in Los Angeles. The show will air on Tuesday, October 27 at 10 p.m. on Spike TV.

The network has yet to release who will be presenting the new New Moon footage, but fans are guessing it'll be the Twilight trio of Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, and Robert Pattinson. The stars have previously unveiled two trailers for New Moon at the MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles and the MTV Video Music Awards in New York.

The 2008 film Twilight is also up for several Scream Awards, including Ultimate Scream, Best Fantasy Movie, and Best Ensemble. Acting nods were given to Pattinson, Stewart, Lautner, Ashley Greene (Best Supporting Actress), and Cam Gigandet (Best Villain). The song "Decode" by Paramore is up for Scream Song of the Year.

WOO HOO! Yea TWI! Breaking down the girly facade with an appearance on Spike TV. Taylor and Rob...ish (Haha- oh, sorry Rob. I just like to tease you.) are sure to prove to all the male-centric viewers that Twilight isn't some whimpy chick flick/lit saga with some badass wolf on vamp action. Summit would be a fool to not unload a battle scene on Spike. Setting my DVR right now.

Sadly Underwhelmed by NM Merch

Turns out, the manic excitment preceeding my trip to Hot Topic for NM merch was sadly unnecessary. I was- in a word- underwhelmed. A main factor in that was that my location has a serious lack of the jewelry I was so stoked to get my paws on. (No Volturi Crest, no Team Jacob necklace, no pendant keychains. Bummer.) I must say that "Bella's Birthday Dress" was fabulous though.

Never fear though friends, the shiny beacon of manic hope in the murky dullness that was my shopping experience was the two rings below. Now, I don't make a habit out of dropping $20 on costume jewelry, BUT I am sooo doing it! "Bella's Cullen Crest" is mine! I'm wondering though, when does she receive this? Is it a birthday gift? An engagement ring? A token of solidarity after "the vote"? I'm not sure how Rosenberg worked either of the rings into the screenplay, but they get my dazzle-faced approval.

Back to basics: TWI time again.

Okay, is anyone else weirded out by the fact that a) Alec aka Cameron Bright and the wolf pack are boys and b) that the pack has matching ensembs? It's just too weird seeing the Volturi hangin' all chill with the pack. Just wrong. Alright, alright, I know I'm blurring reality a bit here (come on, it's what I do) but I just can't handle the bromance on top of the matching fleece robe/bare chest get ups. It looks all the more ridiculous with Cameron Vol'd out all ancient evil chic. And why do they all having matching Uggs? Quileutes do not wear Uggs.

Rule #1: CARDIO

Zombieland was MAGNIFICENT!!!! (Just saw it after a heart wrenching Sophie's Choice at the cineplex between it and Whip it. Never fear I will be seeing Whip it tomorrow while Chubbs spends all day rewinding college football on the DVR.) Not to mention the fact that I got to see the New Moon trailer for the second time on the big screen!!! YEAH!!! Seriously, had a heart attack. Even better the second time. Anywayz! Point is, GO SEE ZOMBIELAND. Jesse Eisenberg pretty much plays the exact same character he did in Adventureland (Do we see a pattern here: fill-in-blank-land and swoony lovesick puppy virgin persona?), but it's why we love him. If it's not broke (and it's not broke. It's workin'. "Someone's in danger of having her hair swept behind her ear.") don't fix it.

I'm going to be so bold as to say I sense Oscar buzz for Woody in this role. He was a delight! Definitely my zombie kill of the week. Hands down.

Suffice it to say, the movie was great and I got really inspired to adapt a new song I’d been working on to suit Bella and Edward and their whole drama. I got together with my friend, producer [and mixer on Slow & Steady...] Ken Andrews, and we recorded a pretty mean version of a new song called “Satellite Heart.””
