Not sure what's up with the cheesy music in this vid, but it's worth enduring for the 10 mins! of behind the scenes goodness!!! Check out Nikki blinking like crazy between cuts with those golden contacts. And wow! Jasper freaks the Newborn out in the birthday scene. I got a little teary-eyed when Esme ran from the room with her hand over her mouth. Gonna be sooo sad.

New Moon mall tour kicks off with a rock 'em sock 'em ruckus at Hollywood & Highland. SPIN.com reports that Anya Marina was the highlight (well, duh!) and Band of Skulls received Beatles worthy "squeals". Wish I'd been there! I am the best squealer! Plus, Kellan totally crossed some sort of socio-actoral line with his shirt.

The scene was electric outside of Los Angeles' Hollywood & Highland open-air mall on Friday evening. A huge line snaked out into the streets, and much of the crowd looked strikingly similar: gaggles of teenage girls (plus guys, moms, dads, and little ones) in black T-shirts emblazoned with five key words: The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Awaiting them inside? Autographs and a Q&A with the film's supporting cast, plus courtyard performances from four bands who contributed to New Moon's excellent soundtrack: Band Of Skulls, Sea Wolf, Anya Marina and, to close it out, Death Cab For Cutie.

In other words, this was the Hot Topic-sponsored New Moon mall tour.

In the photos below I must point out that, yes, Kellan is totally wearing a Team Emmett shirt! LOL Wow, I guess it's okay for me to wear my Team Beth shirt now...wait, that's actually a good idea for a shirt. Customizedgirl.com here I come.

One of the first fans to the stage screamed to no one in particular, "Oh my God! This is the coolest thing ever!" And for the crowd that braved the odds to get there – camping out at the mall on Halloween eve to buy the shirt that would grant them their entrance – it truly seemed to be.

The coolness included Twilight heartthrobs Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner paying a surprise visit.

On stage, opening with their bluesy "I Know What I Am," U.K. three-piece Band Of Skulls burned through a set that ran just shy of 20 minutes and channeled bits of the White Stripes, Black Sabbath, and the Black Keys. An apropos performance of "Hollywood Bowl" prefaced the closing song – their garagey New Moon contribution, "Friends," which was met with squeals at an octave previously reserved for the likes of the Beatles.

Indie folk-poppers Sea Wolf followed, delivering a cello-swathed selection of songs whose titles were matched to the event: "You're A Wolf," from 2007's Leaves In The River, "Turn The Dirt Over" and "Wicked Blood," both off of the just-released White Water, White Bloom, and the at once bouncy and autumnal soundtrack piece "The Violet Hour."

Both were impressive, but Anya Marina, whose "Satellite Heart" is one of New Moon's most captivating moments, stole the show. "What's up Hollywood? Are you guys having fun?" the grinning singer asked to a chorus of shrieks. "Well, we want to have fun with you." She meant it.

Marina was the only musician to engage the exuberant crowd – at one point leading them in a "Team Jacob" vs. "Team Edward" cheer-off – and it paid off. Her ubiquitous hits "Vertigo" and "All The Same To Me" were extremely well-received. Another surprise, mostly lost on the audience, was regular Morrissey collaborator Alain Whyte manning guitar, especially shredding on "Afterparty At Jimmy's."

At the other end of the spectrum, Death Cab For Cutie greeted the incredible mania with zero banter and two songs – New Moon single "Meet Me At The Equinox" and Narrow Stairs highlight "Cath…" – well-performed, but over far too soon. The band said their thanks, unplugged and walked off.

Before the ensuing melee caused by the rush to see Pattinson and Stewart up close, we asked one fan if she had a favorite band on the soundtrack. "I don't really listen to this kind of music," said Carmina, backed by an army of self-described "Twi-tards." "But I like it now!"

Fabulous TWI inspired Jewelry- Bellamerce.com

I just stumbled upon this Twilight inspired jewelry site while looking for a "Why am I covered in feathers?" shirt. (#1 on my Xmas list this year.) The site is called Bellamerce.com and it is TW-erfection! (TWI perfection) I want to buy every piece of custom made Twilight inspired jewelry on the site. Seriously, everything! The artist specializes in fun quotes like "I'm betting on Alice", "Excruciatingly lovely and 17 forever" and "Be Safe". There's even some fun "Bite me" and "Dazzled" stuff too.

Another great site for TWI inspired jewelry is Esty.com. They have a bunch of independent artists that have TW-abulous (I'll let you figure that one out.) I wanted to apprise you all of a few upcoming things.

You know I've been doing the hermit thing this last year, in so far as media is concerned, and I'm not changing that now, but I am making an exception. I'm doing this for a good reason: I am so pleased and amazed and thrilled with what Chris Weitz has done with New Moon that I want to talk about it, and to show my support for him. And since I'm only doing one interview, better make it big. Really big. So....I will be on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday, November 13th. Check the local listings on Oprah's website to find out what time it will be on where you live.

Of course, most of the questions for Oprah will be designed for a broader audience than just die-hard Twilight fans, and I imagine people who read this site and other fansites will already know most of the answers. To rectify this, I'm going to answer your more specific questions on-line. The official Twilight Saga website (www.TheTwilightSaga.com) will be taking any New Moon movie-related questions you might have for me, and then I'll answer those most frequently asked. I'll post the answers on the Twilight Saga website and also here on my own site. The answers will be posted Monday, November 16th—or New Moon Premiere Day, as it is known around my house. This is War 30 Seconds to Mars, and I love it!!!

Second non-TWI in as many days- I know, right?!! Well, if anyone was going to get me away from Edward it's Jared Leto, or more specifically 30Seconds to Mars. Their new single off the yet to be released (Dec. 8, '09) album This is War is magically 30-licious. The airy departure we heard in Kings & Queens that had us (well, me) just a tid bit worried is happily missing from the new sure to be radio heroine This is War. It definitely lives up to its album sake name.

Whoever does these EA gaming trailers is actually talented. Not a gamer, but diggin' Dragon Age: Origins. Enjoy the splattery visuals as Jared screams you into a fan-tastic frenzy.

Aw, now there's the 30 I know and love. Man, it's been way too long since I've heard that raspy coo. I missed you Jared (and Tomo & Shanimal). Welcome back!

New 'Undisclosed Desires' MUSE Video

Yes, this is a non-TWI post. (Pick your jaw up off the floor.) Although I can more than easily relate the lyrics of MUSE's Undisclosed Desires back to New Moon since it was on my short list of soundtrack possibilities pre-release. (Bella singing to Edward OR Jacob singing to Bella- both pose poetic relevance. Think about it!)

The video is suitably existential. Crazy ribboned dancer and all. This song is one of my -sad to say- sparse favorites on The Resistance. Everyone knows I'm a Muse-y, but the new album leaves a orchestrated mellow mix or two to be desired. Sorry guys... Regardless, diggin' the new vid.

Kristen & Taylor kicked off the New Moon publicity juggernaut that will be November in Brazil on the first, but let's get down to the real news here. How happy are we that Kristen's hair is finaly growing out? I love her and miss seeing her sans Joan Jett mullet. Sadly, I forsee another wig-isode for Breaking Dawn though. Not enough length here for extensions to do the deed. (tear)

Kellan & Ashley Dressed up for Halloween

Ashley Greene (Alice) & Kellan Lutz (Emmett) got their Halloween on at Tao nightclub in Las Vegas. They shared hosting duty with True Blood's "Sam" & "Tara." I hope there wasn't any blood drawn with all that vampirism around. To be fair, there were only two Cullens, one shapeshifter and one human, so I doubt it.







Ashley always has the best shoes. Spilling over with an extra dose of the usual jealousy cuz the feathers are wicked hot. Seriously! I am recreating these shoes post haste.

Billy Burke's "afraid" of Kristen Stewart

Don't we just love Billy Burke? He claims to be "afraid" of Kristen Stewart in this interview LOL. Good stuff. In the second clip he mentions a cameo by Peter Murphy of Bauhaus (An old school goth rock band. Think Queen of the Damned sliced with trippy lyrical poetry. Actually kinda cool.) in Eclipse as a vampire in a flashback dream scene. Hmm...? Who could he be playing? I'm at a loss. Any ideas???

Why was this song not on the New Moon OST?

This New Moon tribute music video by Axiz ('One Step Ahead of Goodbye') is magnificent! The editing and the lyrics- why was this not on the OST?!? I realize it doesn't swoon with the indie moody vibe Alexandra Patsavas (music supervisor) beautifully achieved, but come on. Too perfect.
