Twilight Graphic Novel is coming!!!

Alright, TWI-hards you can add Yen Press to the list of publishers/production companies you worship. (Joining Little, Brown and Summit Ent.) They will be publishing a graphic novel version of Twilight!!! Publication date is still pending but it is coming thanks to Korean artist Young Kim- I tried to look up more info on this artist but Young Kim is a seriously common name. If anyone finds anything please post a comment.

OME!!! I can't wait to see the Cullen fam. (and Quileutes too, I guess LOL) Do you think they will recreate the other three books in 2-D heaven? I wonder how the wolves would be portrayed? Oh, and how about Breaking Dawn all graphic style (pun intended)?!!? I would pay to see Isle Esme in print...might have to keep it under the bed with all my Playgirl mags though (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

500 Days of Summer- Delightful

500 Days of Summer has a refreshing take on the Indie quirk-induced love story everyone (well, at least me) is definately into. Zooey Deschanel is brilliantly cast as the anti-romantic and is anyone else uber surprised by Joseph Gorden-Levitt's deep manly voice juxtaposed against his still boyish looking face? (Sorry, it threw me for a sec.) That aside he is also an inspired casting choice for the lovesick wandering youth.

This movie is already reminding me of Away We Go and
Adventureland . Definately recommending this one. Get thee to theaters July 17th!

Even I am pumped for Half-Blood Prince

First off I have to say I am not a Harry Potter fan by any means. I'll watch the movies on HBO if nothing else is on and I'm caught up on DVR, but that's about it.

But, as soon as I heard Ginny Weasley was Harry's new love interest (sorry for the spoilage) in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince I admit I was intrigued and after seeing this clip I am enthralled. This looks badass! Helena Bonham Carter can do no wrong!

Why I like little kids in adult situations

This is becoming a semi-scary pattern: I enjoy films that involved kids in adult situations (not that, perv!) that may or may not be both foreign and in B/W.

My most recent find: Kisses. The film is (yes) B/W and follows a pair of runaways in Ireland. Here's the trailer.



Others to check out Duck Season and Let the Right One In. Particularly the latter- it's a beautiful Swedish kiddie vampire flick. Don't laugh. It's actually quite charming and- dare I say- precious.

Chris (NOT Christopher) Columbus Day

So, for unknown reasons director Chris Columbus is totally on my radar. First I catch his Reelz channel The Directors show (discovered this gem of a cable network because they were sneek peeking New Moon- yes, everything in my life goes back to TWI LOL. But now I love it for all it's glory not just TWI)

Now I'm pleased to announce his new movie I love you BETH Cooper (like that? her name is Beth!- that's my name FYI) is getting pretty good ratings due in part to Hayden Paniettiere's Wonder bra and a "virginal nerd" performance by Paul Rust... Wait...I think I'm having a thought...Yea I'm having a thought! He's the guy who humped the golden popcorn at the MTV Movie Awards this year!!!! OME, I can't believe I pulled that one out from one picture! (Go me!) It was probly the funniest moment of the show next to Kristen Stewart dropping her popcorn and it breaking (total Bella moment).

Newho, is anyone else surprised it's getting such good reviews? From the preview I figured it'd be just an HBO watch or rental at best.

Moral of the story a) I totally win today for recognizing Paul Rust as the faux tech award winner with an over-active pelvis and b)The galaxy has spoken. Chris Columbus and I are offically BFFs . I mean come on- he did Goonies AND Adventures in Babysitting. The man deserves a medal!

New Moon trailer before Bandslam!!!

According to Summit Entertainment there will be an exclusive (different from the teaser we all love) trailer for New Moon!!! before Vanessa Hudgens' new movie Bandslam August 14th! (OME I just realized that's only like 2.5 months before the release- que giddy squeal) It will run before all showings opening weekend.

Wow, they must've been worried about not make any dough on this one. (My guess Vanessa sans Efron = projected weak opening weekend.)

Okay, so how pumped are you to get another hit of NM?!?!? I'm psyched/bummed I have to go see Bandslam LOL. There goes another $7.50 and 2 hrs of my life I'll never get back haha. The things I do for my addiction :P

So, I got yelled at for not posting enuf so here's some dish. (ps if you comment I'll write more! J/k but seriously I will haha)

Here are the New Mooners (Okay that came out wrong) that will be attending this year's Comic Con in San Diego, CA on July 22-26. New Moon panel is Thursday July 23 for all you lucky enuf to go.

I know this is a Comic Con 2008 cast pic but it's fun to look back at how everyone has changed esp. Taylor and Rob's hair LOL. Definately better short.

But I have to say I am e-x-c-i-t-e-d. That is if I can go :/

Why you NEED to see "The Hangover"!

This is for anyone who has not yet seen The Hangover:
As if the crack team of Ed Helm (Office's Andy Bernard- AOH!), Bradley Cooper (yummy) and Old School director Todd Phillips wasn't enuf to get me to the theaters for this Vegas romp the addition of a tiger in the bathroom and Mike Tyson sealed the deal.

Hangover is a true gem! I found myself laughing- quite loudly- in every scene. And I wasn't the only one. The grandpa next to me (yes, there was a gang of grannys and pas next to me) laughed so hard he snorted- three times. PLUS, there's mention of a "wolf pack"! (wink, wink, nudge, nudge- Jacob, what???)

Countless quotes like "F*%K! I keep forgetting about the damn tiger!" are sure to be quick classics like one of my favs from Phillips' previous masterpiece Old School "It tastes so good- once it touches your lips." What are your fav quotes?

Bottom line: If you haven't seen this riot yet go now!

Prince smells "like purple"

Time to don your raspberry beret for the celebration of Purple Rain’s- one of the best movies that rocks of our time (well my time anyway) 25th anniversary.

I’ll never forget a violet satin clad Prince mounting his- twice his size- motorcycle (perhaps a Vespa would’ve been more suiting) flaunting his overweening masculinity in all five feet three inches he boasts. He somehow makes ruffles and Jerry curls sexy.

Check out the spread in the July issue of Spin magazine (Which incidentally has a kickass digital viewer for the issue.) It’s choked full of classic photos (including a shirtless number) and behind the scenes dish. Enjoy and report back on your fav Prince-isms. There’s quite a few in the article. My fav- although it didn’t come from the man himself- is “Prince was shy. And he smelled real good. Like purple.” Thank you Apollonia Kotero. I’ll be using that one for months LOL.

'Lovebug' bites Kevin Jonas

I haven't been this shocked since the memorial reel at the Oscars two yrs ago. Kevin Jonas aka the elder Jonas Bro aka what I was sure was 'the gay one' (right?!) is engaged!!

For unknown reasons I'm floored by this...on second thought maybe he was serious about the whole purity ring thing and just wants to get some. Regardless his fiance looks like an over-tanned version of Haylie Duff- don't hate on my 'tude, Haylie's cute. It's a compliment...I'll be in back handed...but a compliment none the less.

Don't believe just check out the pic. Seriously though, this girl needs to cut back on the bronzer- just tryin' to help.
